Insurance Requirements
These Insurance Requirements are intended to summarize JunkGurus’ insurance expectations for Gurus and Subcontractors. Additional terms may apply under the Master Subcontractor Agreement, Exhibit D, individual Work Orders, client requirements, applicable law, or written JunkGurus policy.
All subcontractors are required to maintain active automobile insurance coverage for any vehicle used to perform services through JunkGurus.
Required Coverage
Subcontractors must carry automobile insurance covering owned, non-owned, and hired automobiles, as applicable.
Auto insurance policies should:
· Have a $1,000,000 limit, where available or required
· Name Junk in the Truck, LLC, doing business as JunkGurus, as an additional insured where applicable
· Include a waiver of subrogation in favor of JunkGurus where available
· Be primary and non-contributory where available
· Provide coverage for work performed through JunkGurus
General Liability and Workers’ Compensation
General Liability and Workers’ Compensation coverage are preferred but not required for all subcontractors.
If a subcontractor does not maintain their own General Liability or Workers’ Compensation coverage, the subcontractor may still be eligible to perform services through JunkGurus, subject to JunkGurus approval and applicable policy requirements.
Subcontractors who do not maintain their own General Liability or Workers’ Compensation coverage may receive reduced compensation, deductions, or adjusted payout terms to account for increased insurance costs, administrative requirements, and risk exposure assumed by JunkGurus.
Proof of Insurance
Subcontractors may be required to provide proof of insurance before receiving job assignments or continuing to perform services through JunkGurus. Subcontractors are responsible for keeping all required insurance coverage active and current.
Failure to maintain required automobile insurance, provide proof of coverage, or comply with JunkGurus insurance requirements may result in reduced access to jobs, suspended platform access, withheld assignments, or removal from the JunkGurus platform.
No Waiver of Responsibility
Nothing in these Insurance Requirements waives a subcontractor’s responsibility to operate safely, comply with applicable laws, maintain legally required insurance, or be responsible for damages, claims, losses, fines, penalties, or violations arising from their acts, omissions, vehicles, employees, helpers, equipment, or services.
