k.Pest, Infestation and Contamination Conditions. Common pests such as roaches, flies, ants, or maggots do not automatically make an item or job ineligible for service. However, JunkGurus may refuse, pause, or stop affected services when severe infestation, decomposition, contaminated or leaking liquids, human or excessive animal waste, bodily fluids, excessive mold, or other conditions create an unreasonable health or safety risk. JunkGurus and its subcontractors are not required to open, empty, clean, sort through, or directly handle contaminated contents when doing so would create unsafe exposure. Services affected by active fleas, lice, bed bugs, or similar ectoparasite infestations are subject to the advance-contact, case-by-case approval, special-estimate, Guru- notice, additional-pay, and safety requirements in clause (i).
l.Disclosure of Unsafe Conditions. Client must disclose known hazardous, prohibited, severely contaminated, or unsafe conditions before service, including suspected drugs or drug paraphernalia, firearms, ammunition, explosives, needles or sharps, unknown substances, bodily fluids, human or excessive animal waste, severe infestations, decomposing organic matter, and contaminated liquids. Client is responsible for arranging appropriate remediation or lawful removal of the condition. Service may resume after JunkGurus confirms that the affected work can proceed safely and lawfully. Any return visit or additional service requires a separately agreed scope and price.
Charges & Fees:
a.Client must provide valid credit card for deposit and payment.
b.Cancellations and Rescheduling. Clients must cancel jobs through the JunkGurus app. To request a reschedule, contact JunkGurus and provide the requested new date and time. A request does not confirm a schedule change; ordinary schedule changes require written agreement by the Client, JunkGurus and the assigned subcontractor. For credit-card-paid bookings, cancellation forfeits the non-refundable $50 deposit. If the Client reschedules without cancelling, the deposit carries forward and remains applied toward the rescheduled job. For invoiced bookings, cancellation or a rescheduling request made four hours or less before the existing scheduled start time incurs a $50 fee. If the assigned Guru has already begun traveling to the job, cancellation or rescheduling incurs a $50 fee when no other $50 cancellation or rescheduling charge applies. If the $50 deposit is already forfeited or the invoiced booking already incurs the $50 fee, JunkGurus management may approve one additional $50 en-route charge case by case to cover the Guru's time, fuel and travel. This additional charge is not automatic. There is no further en-route charge on top of the $50 fee imposed solely because the Guru is en route. Existing provisions governing unavoidable service delays and unsafe conditions remain applicable.
c.Undisclosed Unsafe or Prohibited Conditions. If services cannot proceed or must be discontinued because of an unsafe or prohibited condition that Client failed to disclose before service, the following charges apply: (1) $100 if travel to the job has begun or the subcontractor has arrived, but physical removal work has not started; or (2) the full agreed amount for the scheduled job if physical removal work has started. The applicable charge replaces, and is not added to, the standard $50 cancellation fee for the same incident. Any return visit or additional service must be separately agreed and priced. This provision governs Client charges only and does not establish subcontractor compensation.
d.If the job requires more than the quoted trips or vehicles for weight or size, Client will be notified, and upon acceptance is responsible for all costs. If Client is not present at the job site or is unable to be reached, the subcontractors will either haul away the extra at the current overage rates based on weight/size/etc., or leave excess material present and reschedule a subsequent pickup unless otherwise agreed to in advance.
e.Clients using invoicing ad their payment method are required to settle their payment NET30 terms.
f.Failure to receive invoice payments within net 30 terms may result in an imposition of interest at the monthly rate of three percent (3%) on the outstanding balance.
g.All JunkGurus invoices are automatically generated and sent to the email address or billing email address associated with your JunkGurus account immediately upon job completion.
h.Checks written & mailed within Net 30 may be considered on time due to postal uncertainties.
